5A walk through time
By Carl
Summer in Galilee is a fascinating chronicle of an extremely “aware” woman (Juliette de Bairacli Levy)who takes us on a walk through time few of us will ever experience. Her words glide off the pages and we are caught up in a world of calm, sweetness, wonder and adventure. Juliette has an amazing ability to take what might be viewed as mundane and bring it to life in a way that makes us yearn for such an experience. I feel like I was there among the various people, cultures, places and circumstances. Juliette’s written words are like a “memory” that makes me feel as if the story she tells is my own story. I love this. This is a great book. Not because it tells a profound story that changes the world or shocks us into emotional upheaval but because it takes us to the level of life we all live in our own particular circumstances and shows us another way to view ourselves and all the things (of life) surrounding us every minute. After reading Juliettes words I am not angry, shocked, sad or happy. I am simply in awe of a wonderful experience I was able to embrace by reading this book. I am full of gratitude for this.
